Project Gantz - Gori Suit Ver02 - Final Turnaround Reel


Title: Project Gantz - Gori Suit Version 2

Gantz is a manga done by the author Hiroya Oka. I decided to do a low poly game cutscene model of the Gori Suit or Oka suit in the Gantz manga. However, I decided to do my own version of the suit. Therefore, I alter the design to Gori Suit Version 2.

- This model is considered my first time character game modeling in Maya.
- All was done by polymodeling the high poly model then project the details onto the low poly model.
- Bones were created and Character is ready for animation.

Software:-
Modeling: Maya
Projection Mapping: XNormal
Texturing: Photoshop

Video Compositing: AfterEffect & Premiere

After 2 days on cracking my head and searching for solution in reducing render time and the flexibility to control the shadow and light value after render, I finally found my way of doing it. Though the shadows in this preview WIP video here are not perfect yet but its fixable. No matte painting involve at the moment, all pure mock up 3D Model.

Final Version Environment Concept Art

Title: City of Bassee Burouk
- 'Bassee Burouk,' is Malaysian word for 'Besi Buruk'. It means 'Ugly Iron' in English.

- I m trying to avoid as much as possible too futuristic design but a combination of sci-fi and fantasy designs.

- The concept idea here is to show the contrast between the High Class Social and The Low Class Social through colors and designs. As you can see the tall building is owned by the High Class Social civilian and meanwhile the Low Class civilian remain in buildings that are dimly lighted and plants growing on the wall.

- Second attempt and final version of my environment concept design. I was inspired by Craig Mullins and Paperblue soulworks with additional music rhythms by Yoko Kanno - Ghost In the Shell and Bjork - Hyper Ballad.

Next Phase will be the modeling of the environment. And the animation part of camera panning through the city from a train point of view.

First Attempt on Environment Concept Art

My first ever Environment Concept Art - I think I consider it as my rough concept rather than well polished concept art. Lolz, I'm still weak with concept art. Need to learn and get more inspiration from other concept artists.

This concept art will be test version and I will make a newer version of it later on.

Title: NeoMalaya (Shud be hahaha but the design is not enuf~Need more Research on the Old Ancient Malaya which will be integrated with modern technology)


Duration: 9 hours

The main objective for this concept art is to build up a 3D game level.

Working on HTML codes to get things right

Never did any web coding or scripting before cause I spend most of my time on arts and cgi stuffs. I need to create some effect and alter some HTML codes to get the stuffs I need to present within this blog. Therefore, I cramp my head and spend some time on researching the HTML codes within the net. Lolz, coding stuffs really killing me. Though, my game programmer friend is doing something more hellish than this.
