Finally it is done! Had so much fun doing this and would like to say thank you to Renier Banninga, Kelvin Hi, Yi Ling Elektra, Ryan Ko, Mohd Nur 'Popia' Iman and Wye Ee for constructive comments that led to the completion of this entry.
Whoa, I have been off the grid for almost a month. Been busy at studio with game project and doing other personal stuffs. Anyway, here is my rough texture base at the moment, will be polishing the diffuse, specular, gloss and normal by this week before the dateline.
O, this is mid-poly model where the hipoly details were baked.
Further Update. Done re-modeling and placing the Arm Armor Pieces in place. Later, after everything is modeled out and in place, will start touching them up in Zbrush.
Quick update. Modeling and Placement of the Leg Armor Pieces completed. Now left with the Arm Armor Pieces. Then I can focus on other stuffs like the Big Ass Sword, Cape, Sling Bags, Hinges, what so ever small details.
January was crazy month for me at studio, 3D poly modeling a heavy military vehicle for the next gen game for client. From highpoly to lopoly then unwrap and bake, after that creating few stages of LODs. I have to pause with my own personal work for 1 month. Anyway, since all craziness is in the past, now I get to continue back my Berserk 'Old Man' Guts 3D model. Base models done in Max and touching up in Zbrush. /> />
Did a quick blocking out for the upper section of the helm. With this base mesh in position, this should help me alot in further redefine the rest of the armor.
Work In Progress: Further polymodeling progress for the armor in Max. It is still rough but the base mesh should help me alot to fill in more detail soon. Though I had more ideas in mind that I would like to develop from this base mesh. I should sketch out the final pose and look what the end result look like rather than keeping everything in mind. My goal is to achieve a battle worn Guts look in the end.
Wow, this is kind of embarrassing but I m gonna wish a HAPPY NEW YEAR! been busy with stuffs at studio and currently participating Comicon 2014.
