Gonna Be Busy with New Job at Streamline Studios

I was Offered with a position in Streamline Studios. Currently, the studio released their own IP game called Axon Runners and it looks pretty awesome to me. It also received an early review from IGN. I hope I get to work on cool title like Axon Runners for their next future game project.

Our Game, Trackverse Alpha V0.1 Released

Hi, we would like announced that our game, Trackverse Alpha V0.1 has been released and can be downloaded freely here:

This alpha early version of the game. More updates will be up soon. Our Chief Programmer is working hard to make a better user-friendly interface for players. The vehicles that I did for the City Theme, Cartoon Theme and Sci-Fi Theme will be available soon for the player together with Vehicle Selection Tool. Feel Free to download the game and also player is able to build the own custom track. Tutorial can be found in our Trackverse page.

Syndicate Fan Concept Art to be 3D Game Model




Syndicate Fan Concept Art for Next-Gen 3D Game Model - I have fallen in love with the Syndicate Game World with its Cyberpunk theme and awesome character designs. Therefore I decided to create my own Syndicate known as Nusantra Industries to battle out those big boys like Cayman Industries, Asari Industries and mainly Eurocorp. Nusantra Industries main Sweeper Agent, Ezra with its Psychic Right Arm and Cyborg body. Will start soon the hipoly modeling. Anyway the game so awesome until make me wanna create my own Syndicate. Damn! Imma so fired up!

Apologize For The Previous Model Reel Video

I would like to apologize to whoever watched the previous video of Valkryie Lopoly Game Model reel because the framerate was wrong which caused the animation to be staggering. Therefore, this is newly uploaded edited video to replace the before one. I already edited the correct framerate and the animation is looking smooth now. I also edit bits of the real-time lighting. All here is real-time and not rendered in a 3D software. Once again I apologize.

Packed and Busy Month

Freelance works with Nakama Studios, busy with their Sci-Fi Theme Game 3D Vehicle Modeling. Also busy with a commision work doing a high poly model and Currently updating my Pre-Showreel 2012 which the reel gonna be private only for future employee or client view only. This month is a very busy month for me. Though I am also planning to participate 'The CGStudent Award'. Hope can accomplished all in one go XDDD

Valkryie - Lopoly Game Model Reel Done

Actually the model was completed earlier. It was just that I had something else to do first before doing this reel. Anyway, here it is. Done with proper shader and texture maps.

Valkryie is a sentient mechanical warrior. This is a lopoly game model with Diffuse, Color Spec, Normal Map, Glow Map, Cubemap and Shader Map 3 applied. The polycount for the body is 11,892 triangles and the weapon is 2,448 triangles. Realtime shader in 3Ds Max viewport.

Valkyie Mech Rigging Test



Quick playing around and testing the rigging. Sample animation is a human ballet animation, so it does not fit with the mech limited movement especially the mech hip area. But this is just to test out the rigging and see any bad envelope.

Next, will make a serious showreel video of the Valkryie Mech from beggining to ending.

For better resolution, do switch the youtube resolution option to HD720p.

Valkryie Rigging Done

Rigging done - Test animation by uploading sample animation to check on Bad Envelope and such - will upload video on the test soon.

Total Duration took for rigging and enveloping = app. 3 - 4 hours

Texture Maps done for Valkryie Mech and its weapon

Valkyrie and Weapon Texture maps done, Rigging time! Dang, long time no rigging. so rusty and dusty. hope can finish everything up by early morning. Rushin like a madman! 
 Total duration of completion for the texture maps = 2 days

Our Trackverse Logo Decided

Logo for our game Trackverse. Created by our leader, Yap Chun Fei. He is currently creating website for our Nakama Studios. I m also done with the City Theme Vehicles and now back busy in finalising my own personal portfolio for future clients and employers. If permission granted from Liquid Rock Games or Nakama Studios, I could display the City Theme Vehicles here in my blog. For now, our game programmer is busy in creating the vehicle selection option for players and need time to create the car shader soon.

Busy with Nakama Studios & Spend Extra Time For Portfolio

Currently busy with Liquid Rock Games new division studio known as Nakama Studios. Trackverse or previously known as Project Aftershock is now undet Nakama Studios. Our studio name may be different but the people are still the same within it. Therefore now my task is to complete the 2nd vehicle for the City Themed Track. Preview for the vehicle will only be shown by the permission of Nakama Studios which I am not allowed to post any yet. Time will come for the City Themed Track vehicles to be previewed soon.

At the same time, I am also finalising another artwork for portfolio purpose during my free time and will share them later.

Nakama Studios - Our New Game Division

At the meantime the game division is under Nakama Studios which involve in original IP. Therefore, our first game 'Trackverse' (initially 'Aftershock') will be created by Nakama Studios. Liquid Rock Games will be more toward servicing or outsources. More updates and announcement later on our official sites.
